In early November 2025, Cross Chartering Yacht Transport began a record-setting loading operation in Genoa; an achievement that’s making waves across the yacht shipping industry.
With 12 superyachts over 100 feet in length and a deck packed from bow to stern, this is the largest Lift-On Lift-Off loading operation of yachts ever completed in the Med by any yacht carrier.
In total, 23 yachts were stowed with a combined value exceeding $150 million, including several of the most iconic names in the industry, such as a 150’ Leopard and Baglietto, 140’ AB, 130’ Mangusta, and a 120’ Hargrave. The heaviest yacht loaded came in just shy of 500 metric tons.
Prior to its Genoa port call, the vessel loaded two racing sailboats in Malta; one fresh off its victory in the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
The yachts were loaded on the MV Paderewski, a heavy-lift cargo vessel featuring three cranes capable of lifting 350 metric tons each.
Boasting nearly twice the deck footprint of a typical heavy lift vessel, the MV Paderewski was filled to capacity. Altogether, 4,800 square meters of yachts were stowed on and below deck.
It’s a powerful demonstration of what becomes possible when purpose-built loading equipment meets a world-class logistics team.
After completion of loading operations in the Port of Genoa, the Paderewski is now bound for Antigua, St. Thomas, and Port Everglades.

“We’re proud of what this team has achieved,” says Paul Haber, President of Cross Chartering Yacht Transport. “It takes an extraordinary group of professionals to manage this many large yachts with precision, especially across multiple port calls.”
This level of performance is no coincidence; it comes from routine hands-on involvement at every stage of the operation. By managing each phase directly, Cross Chartering Yacht Transport maintains its uncompromising standards and ensures every detail is executed with precision; from coordinating with port agents to supervising every lift. This serves as a strong testament to our long-standing expertise in yacht shipping.

Heavy-lift vessels can operate efficiently in a wide variety of port environments without relying on specialized shore equipment. This makes multi-stop transatlantic routing straightforward and flexible, enabling calls at major Mediterranean yachting hubs such as Genoa, Palma, and Lavrion, as well as smaller Caribbean islands.
“Lift-On Lift-Off loading gives us complete control over every variable during loading,” says Operations Manager Jiles Dheere. “For high-value yachts, that level of precision isn’t optional, it’s essential.”
This record-setting shipment underscores Cross Chartering’s global support for yacht owners, brokers, and manufacturers.
For more than two decades, Cross Chartering has transported factory yachts for leading builders across Asia and the United States, including Horizon, Hargrave, Nordhavn, and Ocean Alexander.
As the largest yacht carrier in North America, the company has completed over 24 sailings between the East and West Coasts in the past year alone, demonstrating unmatched capacity, reliability, and operational strength.
With this historic transatlantic operation, Cross Chartering brings its extensive expertise and signature gold-standard customer service to new routes, seamlessly connecting major Mediterranean hubs with the Caribbean and North America.
